About Us

Located in Surf City, North Carolina

Servicing Pender, New Hanover, Onslow, Jones, Craven, and Carteret Counties

Our dog training courses cover everything from basic commands and advanced behaviors to behavioral issues and confidence building based on balanced training and a solid foundation of communication between you and your dog.

We train where you go!

What you can expect before, during, and after training with us.

At CRYSTAL COAST CANINE TRAINING LLC,  we will be patient with your dog and will treat him/her with respect. We understand that some dogs are not often away from home and their owners, so we keep that in mind as they transition from your home to training in ours. We will send photos and videos to keep you up to date on your dog's training and experience. You are welcome to reach out for updates at any point, but keep in mind that we are very busy and may not be able to respond right away.

Training with Crystal Coast Canine Training is not a one time transaction, it is a lifetime relationship. Even after your dog has completed training with us we are here to answer any questions and address any issues. We offer remediation training and all clients are encouraged to attend group classes.

Elizabeth

Owner/ Head Trainer

Elizabeth

With over five years of hands-on experience, I am a dedicated and self-taught dog trainer who has successfully trained more than 100 dogs of various breeds, temperaments, and behavioral challenges. My journey began with a deep passion for canine behavior and a commitment to helping dogs and their owners build lasting, respectful relationships based on trust, communication, and consistency.

Throughout my career, I have specialized in obedience training, behavioral modification, and socialization, tailoring each training plan to fit the unique needs of the dog and its owner. My approach blends practical experience with self-directed study in canine psychology, positive reinforcement techniques, and structured discipline.

In addition to working with private clients, I’ve had the privilege of assisting and learning alongside local sheriff’s K9 teams. This collaboration has expanded my knowledge in advanced obedience, scent work, tracking, and handler-dog dynamics in high-pressure environments. It has also reinforced the importance of precision, control, and mutual respect in high-performance working dogs.

My mission is simple: to help every dog become a well-balanced, confident companion while empowering owners with the tools and knowledge needed for long-term success.

How We Train Our Dogs

We strive to help the local community and build strong relationships with dog owners. We have an idea of how our neighborhoods and towns could look when pups and owners have a strong bond and line of communication. Our goal is to take your stress of dog ownership and reduce it tremendously and help you discover new ways to have fun with your dog.

We pride ourselves on training your dog where you go; coffee shops, hardware stores, parks, beaches, breweries, restaurants, live music venues, downtown walks, and even on a run. Tell us your expectations for your dog and we will customize the training plan to meet your needs.

Each dog comes from a different background.  Breed and age play an important role in how your dog will learn. Where one dog may excel, another may struggle. This is why we conduct in-person evaluations for each client prior to drop off. We ask specific questions about your dog and their environment. If you have children, we may conduct more training around young individuals, whereas, if you do not and you frequent sporting events, training may be focussed around that setting. When we first meet, it is important to share all pertinent information, so we may provide the best customized training for your dog.
